Pam Pelton is a 62-year-old school worker from Kentucky. A shoulder replacement surgery gave her a new body part but not her pain free life back. Her pain stopped her from writing on the blackboard, playing the guitar at chapel, hugging loved ones, and even sleeping at night. Dry needling treatment by her physical therapist provided immediate results that have gotten her back to doing the things she loves.
Chad Garvey, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, CSCS, is the clinical director of KORT Downtown Physical Therapy, as well as the lead faculty for their Orthopedic Residency program. His current research interests include manual therapy in the treatment of the spine and extremities combined with dry needling and functional movement assessment and movement repatterning.
